1. Sewing and fashion designing
Under the supervision of Pastor Shirley Naidoo. Our Sewing room was able to showcase their skills by sewing Aprons, Shopping Bags and Beautiful towel sets and selling these items during the Market Day that was held in March 2019, as a fundraiser initiative for the Haven of Rest.
2. Gardening, Maintenance & Welding
The Haven of Rest is blessed to have excellent artisans that are on site. They are highly skilled and versatile craftsmen who render efficient services to the Haven of Rest. A special thanks to Logan Naidoo & Joe Moodley for their all round handyman skills and services, to Thulani Chiliza, Mxolisa Nksasa, Sizwe Ndlovu for the excellent upkeep of the gardens, Ronnie Moonsamy for maintaining the vegetable patch and Mervyn Naidoo for garden and car wash facilities.
5. Tea & Coffee Garden and B&B:
This tranquil and scenic setting is ideal for kids’ parties, birthday parties, business meetings and is also perfect for a garden wedding. The Haven of Rest B&B can accommodate up to 10 people in 4 comfortable rooms. Scrumptious and freshly prepared meals are available at affordable prices. Bookings/tariffs’ include breakfast and are available as per request. All proceeds of this operation go toward the Haven of Rest. 6. Haven of Rest Guest House:
This self-catering facility has 4 bedrooms that can sleep up to 10 people. It also includes a fully fitted kitchen, a lounge and a large verandah for social gatherings.
7. Renal Unit:
The Fresenius Medical Centre is currently leasing our premises and sees an average of 15 patients a day.
