About our organisation

CEOs – Ronnie and Shirley Naidoo

HOR was founded in 2000 by visionaries Dr. Ronnie & Pastor Shirley Naidoo, who were inspired to establish an institution that would cater for the social development, enhancement and welfare of the community. The primary objective of the HOR is to be a beacon of hope to the homeless, destitute, and the down trodden of society, by providing essential services to all people irrespective of race, colour, creed or religion of this disenfranchised community.HOR was founded in 2000 by visionaries Dr. Ronnie & Pastor Shirley Naidoo, who were inspired to establish an institution that would cater for the social development, enhancement and welfare of the community.

Where about are you located ?

Do you guys get alot of international donations?

No, we do not receive monthly donations from any international country.

How many residents in total?

We have +- 120 residents including Old Age, Hospice, Kids, Rehab, Frail Care.

Is the Haven of Rest linked to the AFM Church ?

Yes, the CEO, Apostle Ronnie Naidoo, is also the senior pastor of the AFM Tongaat Church.

Though they are separate entities with their own PBO.

Is Your Coffee Shop opened to the Public?

Yes, our coffee shop situated at the Haven of Rest welcomes people from the outside.

Are there only Christians that stay there ?

No, we do run solely on the Christian ethos although we accept all religion to be residents at out centre. No one is forced to partake in anything they are not comfortable with.
